Japan's health ministry confirmed 926 new cases of the coronavirus in Tokyo on Wednesday. The figure is down 102 from a week earlier. The number of seriously ill patients on ventilators or ECMO heart-lung machines was eight, the same as the previous day. Six deaths from the virus were reported in the capital. Nationwide, 11,805 new infections and 69 deaths were confirmed on Wednesday.
