A: Hey Yuki, you hear about the news with China lately?
   B: No, what's going on?

A: Well, our PM Takaichi said something about Taiwan that's got 'em all worked up in China!
   B: Oh no, what did she say?

A: She said a military emergency over Taiwan could threaten Japan's survival. They're really mad and asked our ambassador to explain.
   B: Wow, that sounds serious. What did our Foreign Minister say about it?

A: Motegi told them Takaichi's words didn't break any rules and don't need to be taken back. He also explained what she meant by her comment.
   B: I see... And what about the Chinese Consul-General in Osaka? Did he say something too?

A: Yeah, he posted some nasty things on social media about Japan after Takaichi's remark. Our Vice Foreign Minister gave their Ambassador a strong warning for it being inappropriate.
   B: That's not cool at all... Some people here want measures against the Consul-General, like deporting him. What's the government suggesting?

A: They just asked China to take action and make sure this kind of thing doesn't happen again.
