Foreign ministers of Japan, China and South Korea are set to meet in person for the first time in four years. They are expected to discuss various issues including the prospect of a triparty summit. The South Korean foreign ministry says the country will host the meeting on Sunday in its southeastern city of Busan. Japan's Foreign Minister Kamikawa Yoko and her Chinese and South Korean counterparts, Wang Yi and Park Jin, will attend. The three countries' foreign ministers met most recently in August 2019. The countries also have not held a summit since that year. The foreign ministers are also expected to discuss regional issues following North Korea's launch of what it calls a military reconnaissance satellite on Tuesday. Arrangements are also underway for bilateral foreign minister meetings. One between Japan and South Korea and another between China and South Korea are expected on Sunday morning.
