Yevgeny Prigozhin, who is the head of the Russian paramilitary organization the Wagner Group, recently posted a video to social media where he declared that he is “certain” that Russia will lose territory to Ukraine and that Russia will lose a significant amount of its military personnel.
The Wagner Group is a private Russian military organization that employs thousands of mercenaries. Prigozhin owns and finances the group, which Russia is using to fight the war in Ukraine.
Prigozhin said in a video posted to his Telegram account that Russia “will now suffer serious losses.”
The mercenary leader predicts that these losses will be so significant for Russia that the Russian government will take it out on their military leaders and “there will either be a popular revolt or the State Duma will make a decision for capital punishment and gun them the f— down.”
Prigozhin goes on to say that he truly believes that “we’re two to three months away from the firing squads.”
The Russian-Ukraine war has been going on since February 22, 2022, when Russia invaded Ukraine.
Recently, a dam broke in a Russian-held area of Ukraine, which has caused massive flooding. The Nova Kakhovka dam collapse was believed to be caused by Russian forces, experts say. Its waters have flooded villages in the area. Now, many in the area do not currently have access to safe drinking water.
In recent weeks, Prigozhin has been increasingly outspoken and even called Putin “a complete a–hole.”
