Democratic US presidential candidate Kamala Harris has blasted her Republican rival Donald Trump for fanning division, one week before Election Day.
                
Vice President Harris held a rally in central Washington on Tuesday. She spoke at the same venue where, in January 2021, then-president Trump addressed supporters before they stormed the US Congress.
                
Harris accused Trump of sending &quot;an armed mob to the United States Capitol to overturn the will of the people in a free and fair election,&quot; despite knowing he lost.
                
Harris described Trump as &quot;someone who is unstable, obsessed with revenge, consumed with grievance and out for unchecked power.&quot;
                
She said, &quot;Donald Trump has spent a decade trying to keep the American people divided and afraid of each other.&quot;
                
Harris appealed for support, saying: &quot;It is time to turn the page on the drama and the conflict, the fear and division. It is time for a new generation of leadership.&quot;
                
The race remains neck-and-neck. Observers say Harris is hoping to win over undecided voters by calling into question Trump&#039;s personal qualities to serve as president.
