South Korean investigators are still unable to execute a detention warrant for impeached President Yoon Suk-yeol that is set to expire on Monday.
                
A joint team of investigators obtained the warrant on New Year&#039;s Eve to detain Yoon on charges of orchestrating insurrection.
                
The investigators entered the grounds of the presidential residence on Friday to execute the warrant, but were blocked by the president&#039;s security personnel.
                
On Saturday, they asked Acting President and Deputy Prime Minister Choi Sang-mok to order the Presidential Security Service, or PSS, to comply with the warrant.
                
The investigators also asked the top two officials of the security service to appear for questioning, saying the PSS had obstructed the execution of the warrant. But South Korean media say the PSS has rejected the request.
                
Yoon&#039;s defense team announced on Sunday that they will file a complaint with prosecutors against roughly 150 officials linked to the joint team of investigators. Yoon&#039;s defense team says the officials&#039; attempts to execute the warrant are illegal.
