Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has announced that various events are being planned later this month that will criticize Russia and showcase Ukraine's solidarity with the rest of the world. The events are to take place on February 24, the one-year anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Ukrainian media outlets on Sunday quoted Kuleba as saying that various events will take place at the UN headquarters in New York as well as in Kyiv and many other capitals of the world. He reportedly said they will send a very clear signal to Russian President Vladimir Putin. The announcement comes as Ukraine becomes increasingly wary that Russian forces will launch fierce offensives to mark the one-year anniversary. The Ukrainian defense ministry on Sunday updated information on Russia's combat losses on Twitter, including massive personnel losses of over 137,000. The ministry says Moscow is intensifying its attacks in and around eastern Ukraine. Russia is reportedly trying to seize control of Bakhmut, a Ukrainian stronghold in the eastern region of Donetsk, and the recently liberated town of Lyman.
