The head of artificial intelligence developer OpenAI says his company is not for sale.
The US-based OpenAI developed the ChatGPT generative artificial intelligence service.
On the sidelines of the Artificial Intelligence Action Summit in Paris on Tuesday, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman was asked by a journalist about reports that an investment group led by billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has offered to buy OpenAI.
Altman said, "I have nothing to say. I mean, it's ridiculous." He said his company is "not for sale," and that Musk's reported takeover bid is "another one of his tactics to try to mess with us."
