Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan says his country is not Russia's ally in its invasion of Ukraine. Pashinyan said that the Ukrainian people are friends to Armenia, during a visit to the German city of Munich on Sunday to attend a security conference. His remarks against the invasion of Ukraine come despite Armenia -- a former Soviet Union country -- being a member of the Russian-led Collective Security Treaty Organization. A Kremlin spokesperson acknowledged that Russia and Armenia take different stances on the issue. Dmitry Peskov on Monday said it is no secret that the countries have diametrically opposed views on what's going on in Ukraine. He said Russia will continue to insist that its position is the correct one. The Armenian government seemed unhappy with the lack of Russian support over a long-running territorial dispute with neighboring Azerbaijan. Last September, ethnic Armenians were forced to surrender in the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh, following a military offensive by Azerbaijan.
