The United States has announced additional military aid worth up to 400 million dollars to support Ukraine&#039;s counteroffensive against Russia.
                
The package unveiled by the Pentagon on Tuesday includes additional munitions for Patriot air defense systems and NASAMS advanced surface-to-air missile systems.
                
Ukraine will also receive more ammunition for the High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems, or HIMARS.
                
The United States is aiming to beef up Ukraine&#039;s air defense capabilities, to repel a barrage of Russian missile and drone attacks.
                
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a statement that Russia continues to attack Ukrainian ports and grain infrastructure in Odesa in the south and other areas.
                
Blinken said, &quot;The United States and our allies and partners will stand united with Ukraine, for as long as it takes.&quot;
                
Ukraine&#039;s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed gratitude in a video released on Tuesday.
                
Zelenskyy said the day started early, with the usual work of receiving weapons and new defense support packages, including American ones. He added, &quot;I am grateful for today&#039;s package...Thank you, America!&quot;
