Zelenskyy: Details of foreign troop dispatch to Ukraine to be decided in a month NHK

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has met with delegates from France and Britain to discuss the possible deployment of troops to Ukraine. He says the size of the contingent and other details should be decided in one month.



The foreign troops are expected to be deployed, if Russia and Ukraine sign a ceasefire agreement.



Zelenskyy told reporters in Kyiv on Friday that many other countries are involved in the process, but he does not want to speak about the size of this coalition yet.



The president said the team still needs about one month to be fully ready with an understanding of "this infrastructure." He said team members will meet every week.



Zelenskyy also referred to the agreement on Ukraine's mineral resources with the US, which he and President Donald Trump failed to sign at the White House in February.



Zelenskyy said teams are working on the deal and that technical team members will be ready to go to the US to speak with their American partners.
