Ukraine's presidential office says that Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio confirmed his readiness to host a conference in Japan on Ukraine's reconstruction early next year.
The presidential office reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke with the Japanese leader over the phone on Friday.
Zelenskyy informed Kishida about flooding in the southern regions of Kherson following the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power-generating dam, which he blames on Russia.
The office added that Zelenskyy also informed Kishida about the situation on the front line and that Russia was further intensifying missile attacks against Ukraine.
