The US Geological Survey says an earthquake with an estimated magnitude of 6.3 hit western Afghanistan on Wednesday morning. It comes just days after the region was struck by devastating tremors. A local hospital says at least five people were killed and more than 110 people were injured from Wednesday's quake. The area was struck by two quakes of the same strength on Saturday. The Taliban interim government says the tremors killed more than 2,000 people and flattened around 2,000 houses.
