Tensions are rising in the West Bank and Jerusalem following civilian casualties in an Israeli military operation.
Qatar-based satellite TV network Al Jazeera reported that Israeli forces opened fire toward a hospital in the West Bank city of Jenin through Wednesday, killing or wounding several Palestinians.
The report also said a 13-year-old boy was shot dead in East Jerusalem on Tuesday while playing with fireworks.
Israeli forces continued carrying out airstrikes across wide areas in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday. Local media say the attacks killed or injured dozens of civilians. There are also reports that Gaza residents waiting for food and other relief supplies were among those killed.
EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell criticized Israel on Tuesday for using starvation as a "weapon of war."
A series of aggressions by Israel during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan could further escalate anti-Israeli sentiment.
Also on Tuesday, the UN World Food Programme announced that enough food for 25,000 people was delivered to Gaza City. This aid to the north of the enclave had been put on hold since February due to security concerns.
The WFP said it is necessary to continue food deliveries to the area as people there are "on the brink of famine."
