A: Hey there! Did you catch the latest news?
   B: Nah, what's up?

A: Well, some European countries are worried about the US putting more military pressure on Venezuela.
   B: Oh, really? What's going on there?

A: The US claims that they're attacking drug-trafficking vessels because of drugs being smuggled from nations like Venezuela.
   B: Wow, that sounds intense! So, the US sent a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier and other ships to the area last Tuesday.

A: Yeah, and now Venezuela is doing military drills in response.
   B: That doesn't sound good... The foreign ministers from G7 countries and others met in Canada this week and they're concerned that the US actions could increase tensions.

A: France's Foreign Minister said that the US operations violate international law, while Germany's said no one wants more crises.
   B: Seems like everyone is worried about things getting out of hand. What did the US say about all this?

A: Well, our Secretary of State said that Europe doesn't get to decide what international law is or how we defend ourselves. He also called a report saying Britain stopped sharing intelligence with the US on vessels suspected of carrying drugs "fake news."
   B: Hmmm... That sounds like they're not exactly seeing eye-to-eye.
