Japanese rescue workers have pulled out a woman in her 80s from a collapsed house more than 72 hours after the magnitude 7.6 earthquake that devastated the central prefecture of Ishikawa. Rescuers say the woman was conscious and responsive. She has been transferred to a hospital. They found the woman trapped inside the house on Thursday afternoon and rescued her at around 4:28 p.m. That's just over 72 hours after the major tremor hit the Noto Peninsula on Monday afternoon. The survival rate is said to drop significantly after the 3-day mark. The first floor of the two-story house was crushed. The survivor was found trapped there.
