China&#039;s Communist Party has just wrapped up its twice-a-decade National Congress.
                
President Xi Jinping is set to secure an unprecedented third term as leader, while Premier Li Keqiang is likely to step down from the party&#039;s top leadership.
                
The final session of the congress on Saturday was attended by more than 2,000 delegates.
                
They picked some 200 members of the party&#039;s Central Committee.
                
Xi was elected, which means he will stay in power for an historic third term. Under the party&#039;s unwritten rule, top officials are supposed to retire at the age of 68. Xi turned 69 this year.
                
Premier Li Keqiang, at 67, did not make it onto the new committee&#039;s list. He is likely to step down from the party&#039;s supreme leadership, the Politburo Standing Committee, which currently has 7 members. His term as premier ends in March of next year.
                
The delegates also voted on a draft revision of the party&#039;s constitution. It incorporates a slogan called &quot;two establishments&quot; which expresses support for Xi&#039;s core position in the party and his role as an ideological leader. That means all party members are obligated to be loyal to Xi.
                
The newly-elected Central Committee is expected to hold its first meeting as early as Sunday to select members for the Politburo Standing Committee.
