1. The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has apologized for editing U.S. President Donald Trump's speech in a documentary, but has rejected his demand for compensation. 2. Parts of Trump's speech were edited to give the impression that he called for the Capitol Hill riots in January 2021, according to a British newspaper report. 3. The BBC announced the resignations of its director general Tim Davie and head of news Deborah Turness, and its chair Samir Shah apologized for the mistake. Trump's lawyers have threatened to sue the broadcaster for at least $1 billion if their demands (retraction, apology, compensation) are not met.
