Two women who were sexually abused by their junior high school teacher in Tokyo have given their accounts at the trial of their abuser and said they can never forgive him. The women attended the trial of Kitamura Hisayoshi at the Tokyo District Court on Monday. Kitamura was the principal of a junior high school in Tokyo's Nerima Ward when he was arrested last year. The 57-year-old defendant has been accused of sexually assaulting and injuring a girl at their school in 2010. He is also charged with possessing the videos in his camera that recorded the assault and a sexual act with another girl. They were found in the principal's office. Kitamura pleads not guilty for the sexual assault charge. One of the women told the court that the defendant abused her as often as once a week. She said the teacher had absolute power over her and she was too terrified to resist. Describing the abuse as a painful experience that made her come home crying, the woman said she was too ashamed to speak up and she couldn't do anything to stop him. She added that she will never forgive him for what he did. The other former student said Kitamura committed lewd acts on her at school, sometimes more than once a week. She also said he told her to keep it secret. The woman said she was afraid that if she revealed what he did, he would give her a bad academic report -- an important factor for entering senior high school. She said she deeply despises her former teacher. Kitamura has claimed in court that he thought he was in a relationship with the girls and they accepted him. But he also acknowledged that he committed a one-sided crime. The court is scheduled to hand down the ruling on December 9.
