The Shia Muslim group Hezbollah fired rockets at an Israeli military position in a border area on Monday for the first time since a ceasefire took effect last week.

Hezbollah said the volley was a warning shot in response to what it called repeated ceasefire violations by Israel.

The Israeli forces have continued airstrikes on Lebanon, saying that Hezbollah violated the ceasefire agreement.

Lebanon's health ministry says one person was killed in an Israeli strike on Monday in the country's south.

The Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, said that violations and breaches of the ceasefire agreement by Israel have exceeded 50.

Israel's Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said on Monday that Israel is not violating the ceasefire understandings but is enforcing them in response to Hezbollah's violations, which demand immediate action.

There are mounting concerns that the truce will not hold as Israel is likely to respond to the latest rocket attack by Hezbollah.
