B: The Shinsengumi? Those are the samurai warriors, right?

A: Yes! And this house has seen quite a bit of action from them. There are sword marks left behind in wood from their battles, and it's where General Commander Yamanami Keisuke committed seppuku.

B: Wow, that's wild! I didn't know the Maekawa residence was connected to the Shinsengumi.

A: Yeah, it's amazing when you think about samurai warriors walking around this place and living here. Even now, the current owner, Hitoshi Tano, lives there.

B: That's crazy! I can't wait to go check it out. It must be like stepping back in time.
