A: Hey there! Have you heard anything exciting lately?

B: Not really, just work and stuff. Why? What's up?

A: Oh, it's sad news actually. An Air India plane from Ahmedabad to London crashed not long after take-off!

B: Whoa, that sounds terrible! How many people were on board?

A: There were 242 passengers and crew members. Unfortunately, more than 200 of them didn't make it...

A: Most were Indian nationals, but there were also British, Portuguese, and one Canadian national among them.

Reuters has cited India&#039;s local authorities as saying that more than 200 people were killed when an Air India plane carrying 242 people on board crashed soon after taking off from Ahmedabad in western India.

The airline said 242 passengers and crew members were on board the Boeing 787-8 aircraft. They included 169 Indian nationals, 53 British nationals, 7 Portuguese nationals and one Canadian national.
