Tokyo's Nikkei 225 stock index fell on Tuesday for the first time in three trading days. Some investors unloaded shares after Trump's firing of a Fed governor. The Nikkei 225 finished at 42,394, down 0.97 percent. News of Trump's move briefly saw the yen strengthen against the dollar. This prompted selling of export-related shares and drove the index down 670 points, or 1.5 percent, at one stage. Meanwhile, the yield on the benchmark 10-year Japanese government bonds briefly rose to 1.62 percent on Tuesday. That's nearly a 17-year high. Yields rise when prices fall. Some investors sold the bonds on speculation that the Bank of Japan would hike interest rates earlier than expected. ---------------- Quiz 1: On which day did Tokyo's Nikkei 225 stock index fall?
