Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has expressed gratitude for US President Joe Biden and asked for continued support from the US government.
                
The Ukrainian president wrote on social media on Monday after Biden announced his intention to leave the race for November&#039;s presidential election.
                
Zelenskyy said, &quot;Ukraine is grateful to President Biden for his unwavering support for Ukraine&#039;s fight for freedom, which, along with strong bipartisan support in the United States, has been and continues to be critical.&quot;
                
Last Friday, Zelenskyy spoke over the phone with Biden&#039;s predecessor Donald Trump after he became the Republican Party&#039;s presidential nominee. Zelenskyy seems to be wary of Trump, who is considered to be rather close to Russia.
