DeSantis Wants to End Ukraine War, Insists Europe Should Supply Weapons

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said Thursday evening he wants to bring an end to the Ukraine war, adding that Europe should supply the nation with weapons to fight Russia.

When asked by CNN moderator Kaitlan Collins how he wants to end the war, DeSantis said, without providing details, that he would “bring it to a situation where Russia is in box and you’re not having wars break out into Europe.”

He then said that Europe should send Ukraine weapons, and, that as president, he would support that move.

DeSantis said the “pitfall of U.S. foreign policy over the past 25 years since the Cold War” is "getting involved in conflicts where we don't have a clear conception of what we're trying to achieve."

He then took a shot at President Joe Biden, claiming: he “will not tell us the endgame.”

DeSantis added: “I want a clear plan for what we're going to accomplish and I want to make sure that we're going to be able to accomplish that."
