Missiles struck the Kharkiv region of northeastern Ukraine on Friday morning, for a second day in a row. The United Nations has sent a human rights team to investigate Thursday's attack that killed at least 50 people. The new airstrike on Friday damaged residential structures. The regional governor said a 68-year-old woman and her 10-year-old grandson died in the attack. He also said 28 others were wounded, including an 11-month-old baby. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned Russia on social media, referring to the attacks as "Russian terror." On Thursday, missiles struck a cafe in a village near the city of Kupiansk, killing at least 52 people. The regional governor said many of the victims had gathered to mourn a fallen soldier. Ukraine criticized Russia for intentionally targeting civilians while Moscow claimed it does not strike civilian targets. The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights said in a news conference on Friday that the previous day's attack was one of the deadliest on civilians since Russia started the invasion in February 2022. The OHCHR said it deployed a team to speak to survivors and gather information.
