A: Hey there! Anything interesting happening back home?
   B: Not really, just the usual. But, I saw some news about heavy rain causing trouble overseas.
   A: Oh yeah? Where's that?
   B: Seems like South and Southeast Asia. The rains have been so bad they're triggering landslides on Sumatra in Indonesia. Over 400 people died, and more are missing!
   A: Wow, that's terrible! I heard eight Japanese folks were stranded there. Seven got rescued already, but one is still hanging out.
   B: Yeah, and it seems they have enough food for now. Quite scary though. The rain isn't just affecting Indonesia; it's causing problems in Thailand too.
   A: Thailand? How so?
   B: They've been dealing with flooding and landslides since mid-November, and over 170 people died already. The numbers are rising.
   A: That sounds tough... What about Sri Lanka?
   B: Sri Lanka suffered a cyclone recently, which caused flooding and landslides that killed more than 350 people. They're saying it's the most challenging rescue operation in their history.
   A: Man, I hope they can get through this somehow... Let's hope for the best for everyone affected.
