Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio has pledged that his government will provide more support to help Ukrainians survive the winter. Kishida made the remarks in a video message to an international conference on Ukraine's reconstruction. The meeting was held in Berlin on Tuesday. He denounced Russia's missile attacks and threats to use nuclear weapons as totally unacceptable. He urged the international community to unite in imposing sanctions against Russia and continuing support for Ukraine. Kishida indicated that in addition to providing protection for displaced people, his country will also supply heating equipment and warm clothing. He also suggested that Japan will share technology to recycle debris, which it acquired through the experience of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami. Kishida said Japan will serve as the chair of the Group of Seven next year, and it will lead international discussions on restoring peace and achieving reconstruction in Ukraine.
