More than 20 killed in Israeli air strike, Gaza health authorities say NHK

Gaza's health authorities say an Israeli air raid targeting a residential area has killed 24 people and injured more than 80 others in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.

Israel continued to carry out air strikes on northern and central Gaza on Sunday.

The Gazan authorities had not been able to release information on deaths since Thursday as Internet and phone lines have been cut.

A UN agency says evacuees from other areas are flocking to Rafah in southern Gaza.

The population density in Rafah is estimated at 12,000 people per square kilometer, or four times the figure before the fighting started.
