The Chinese Communist Party&#039;s National Congress ends on Saturday, and the wheels are in motion to secure President Xi Jinping an unprecedented third term as leader.
                
The meeting kicked off on October 16. The final day will see officials elect about 200 members of the Central Committee.
                
Sixty-nine-year-old Xi is likely to be picked despite his age. It is customary for top party officials to retire at 68.
                
The new committee is expected to meet as early as Sunday to elect the party&#039;s supreme leadership body.
                
The Politburo Standing Committee currently has seven members, and attention is focused on who will remain.
                
Premier Li Keqiang is a member. Hong Kong media say the 67-year-old is expected to retire as a top party official when his term expires in March.
                
Officials at the national congress will also vote on a draft revision of the party&#039;s constitution. They are expected to incorporate a slogan expressing loyalty to Xi.
