Israel and Hamas are reportedly checking lists of people to be released in hostage-prisoner exchanges as they consider extending a four-day pause in fighting beyond Monday. The agreement to trade 50 hostages held by Hamas for 150 Palestinian prisoners in Israel is part of the four-day deal that started Friday. Over the past three days through Sunday, Hamas freed 58 hostages, including Israelis and foreign nationals. Israel released 117 Palestinians from prisons. Israel said it had already received what could be the final list of hostages slated for release and is reviewing it. The Reuters reported Hamas expressed concerns about a list of Palestinian prisoners for release on Monday. In a video posted on social media, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he would welcome extending the pause to allow for the release of more hostages. He suggested fighting would be paused one additional day for each additional 10 hostages freed. Hamas said in a statement on Sunday that it would seek to extend the deal after the four-day period ends by releasing a larger number of hostages. The two sides are apparently still negotiating the release order of the hostages, a list of Palestinians to be released and the conditions for delivery of humanitarian supplies to Gaza.
