Police in Thailand say that they have made one of the largest seizures of illegal drugs in the country. This comes amid concerns about the amounts of narcotics being distributed in the region. The police announced on Thursday that they discovered over 15 million methamphetamine pills and some heroin, when they raided a home in Nakhon Pathom Province, near Bangkok. The drugs are reportedly worth over 8 million dollars. Four men were arrested in connection to the bust. The police say the drugs were produced in a neighboring country and smuggled into Thailand. A United Nations report says East and Southeast Asian nations will continue to see a surge in the trafficking of synthetic drugs. It also says large volumes of methamphetamines are being produced in the area called the Golden Triangle. The remote region is where the borders of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos meet.
