The Palestinian envoy to Japan has called for an immediate stop to the killing of civilians between the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas and Israel. Israeli and US ambassadors protested Hamas&#039;s attacks at a rally in Tokyo.
                
Waleed Siam, Ambassador, Representative of the Permanent General Mission of Palestine, held a news conference in Tokyo on Wednesday.
                
Siam stressed he does not represent Hamas, saying he is against the killing of any civilians, whether they are Palestinians, or Israelis.
                
The Palestinian diplomat called for an immediate stop to the killing of children for revenge, saying he has seen civilians dying.
                
Siam said Israel is creating a generation on both sides who will find it very difficult to understand each other and coexist.
                
He said that is why they have to stop the conflict now and he called for the continued involvement of the international community in addressing the Palestinian issue.
                
Also on Wednesday, the Israeli and US ambassadors to Japan spoke at a protest rally in Tokyo&#039;s Shibuya district.
                
Israeli Ambassador Gilad Cohen made a remark, &quot;We stay here together to make sure this atrocity, genocide of Jews will never happen again.&quot; And he said this war is going to be long, painful and to cost heavy prices.
                
US Ambassador Rahm Emanuel said, &quot;We must make sure we stand regardless of where you are, what your faith is.&quot; He added they need to say no to abduction of children and women from their homes.
                
Participants held banners and Israeli flags, calling for peace in Israel.
                
A 26-year-old Israeli university student who attended the rally said she was able to confirm the safety of her mother and sister in Gaza, but has not been able to contact her friends. She said she wants the conflict to end immediately.
