Russia&#039;s military has launched a massive attack across Ukraine, killing 33 people. A children&#039;s hospital in Kyiv was heavily damaged in the strike.
                
Areas including Ukraine&#039;s capital, Kyiv, and the eastern regions of Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk were hit hard on Monday.
                
In Kyiv, apartment buildings and other structures were struck with missiles across seven districts of the city&#039;s center. Officials say 22 people there were killed and more than 70 others injured.
                
The Okhmatdyt children&#039;s hospital in Kyiv also came under attack. Ukraine&#039;s State Emergency Service said the strike left two people dead and 10 others injured.
                
Ukrainian security authorities denounced Russia for hitting the hospital with a cruise missile.
                
A doctor who was there at the time of the attack told NHK that he heard a loud explosion and broken window glass almost fell right on him. He said his fellow doctor died, and that the attack was a huge criminal act.
                
Russia&#039;s defense ministry said in a statement it published on social media on Monday that Russian forces struck Ukrainian military industry facilities and air bases with long-range precision weapons. The ministry added that this was in response to Ukraine&#039;s attempts to attack energy facilities inside Russia.
                
Ukraine&#039;s air force said it intercepted 30 of the 38 Russian missiles launched.
                
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote on social media that &quot;the entire world must use all its determination to finally put an end to the Russian strikes.&quot;
