The daily tally has marked a week-on-week increase for seven straight days.
The ministry also confirmed 18 deaths in the capital.
The number of seriously ill patients who are on ventilators or ECMO heart-lung machines remained unchanged from Sunday at 15.
Nationwide, 62,336 new infections and 127 deaths were confirmed on Monday.
