Video shows Ukrainian drones taking out Russian Starlink terminal Musk previously denied they used
Amid reports that the Russian army is using Elon Musk's Starlink satellite internet service in temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have begun hunting for the equipment.
The first success in this direction was shared by the soldiers of the 71st Separate Jaeger Brigade of the Airborne Assault Troops, who posted a video of the destruction of one of the Russian terminals on Facebook on Feb. 16.
"Enemy Starlink," the Ukrainian defenders captioned the footage.
“Everyone has heard that the Russians have started using SpaceX satellite communication platforms, but we have not been able to take them down so far. The company has repeatedly denied supplying its products to the aggressor. A stolen or smuggled modem was spotted by operators of reconnaissance UAVs of the 71st Jaeger Brigade. And our FPV drones did not tolerate this and stood firmly for international law and the business reputation of a respected company :)”
The Russians use Starlink exclusively on the territory of Ukraine, as it operates only here, and purchase all the necessary equipment through third countries, the Militarnyi portal reported earlier.
