A US official says six people were killed after a mid-air collision of two aging military planes during Saturday's air show in the southern state of Texas. The Dallas County judge made the announcement in his social media post on Sunday. Eyewitnesses say a P-63 fighter flew into a B-17 bomber from behind at a Dallas airport, causing them to crash to the ground and go up in flames. The planes were both from World War Two. US media reports say a B-17 typically has a crew of four to five while a P-63 has a single pilot. It remains unknown how many people were on board the aircraft at the time of the collision. The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board have launched an investigation.
