A: Hey! Did you hear anything about the New Year travel numbers?

B: No! What’s up?

A: Apparently, domestic flights were only up a little bit, like 1 percent!

B: Really? Not a huge increase, huh?

A: But international flights! They jumped about 10 percent! Wow!

B: That's great news! Where were people going?

A: Lots of people went to Hawaii! ANA had their biggest number of passengers ever for those flights.

B: That’s so popular! JAL said flights to the US and Europe were also doing really well.

A: Yeah! The airlines said the long holiday helped a lot. People got like, nine days off!

B: Nine days! Amazing! And inbound tourism is still strong, right?

A: Exactly!  ANA even said the issues with China didn't really affect their numbers.

B: Seriously? That's surprising.

A: But JAL said their China flights were down a little bit, like 20 percent.

B: Oh, that's a shame.
