Chinese security authorities say Myanmar has handed over more than 1,200 online fraud suspects. The Chinese Ministry of Public Security said Myanmar authorities helped to transport the 1,207 suspects on Wednesday. China's state-run Central Television aired footage of many of them waiting to be repatriated near the China-Myanmar border. China has been plagued by scams involving smartphones, PCs and other devices. Some observers say fraud carried out by criminal groups is a growing problem. These groups have been moving their bases to Southeast Asian countries, apparently to escape crackdowns in China. Chinese authorities have been going after scammers outside the country. Last month, 88 people were detained in Indonesia on suspicion of defrauding people in China.
