The Turkish government says a fire at a ski resort hotel in the northwestern province of Bolu has killed at least 66 people and injured 51.
Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya revealed the number of casualties from the fire, which broke out early on Tuesday.
The blaze was almost extinguished by the afternoon, about 12 hours after it started.
Local media say the fire apparently started at a restaurant in the 12-story hotel and spread quickly.
The hotel reportedly had more than 230 registered guests at the time. An investigation is underway to identify the cause of the fire.
