Shohei Ohtani's Wife Catches Attention After Dodgers Win NLCS

Shohei Ohtani's Wife Catches Attention After Dodgers Win NLCS
Chris Phelps
After failing to make the postseason in six years with the Los Angeles Angels, MLB superstar Shohei Ohtani has helped the Los Angeles Dodgers reach the World Series in his first season with the team.

The Dodgers got there after beating the New York Mets 10-5 in Sunday's Game 6 of the NLCS, clinching a 4-2 series win. Ohtani finished Game 6 batting .500 (two hits in four at-bats), including two runs scored and an RBI.

Ohtani has proved to be worth every penny of the 10-year, $700M contract he signed back in Dec. 2023 as he became the first player in MLB history to record 50 or more home runs and 50 or more steals in a single season.

After the win, a fan captured Ohtani's wife, Mamiko Tanaka, holding his dog, Decoy, as they celebrated the win with some friends and a drink. MLB supporters loved the appearance of Tanaka, especially given how she usually keeps a low profile. They took to social media to leave their thoughts.

"Nez Balelo, Mamiko, Decoy and others toasting to winning the pennant!" one fan said.

"Mamiko continuing to hold the dog while cheering is the kind of multi-tasking I admire"
