Philippines presidential election campaigns start on Tuesday NHK

Campaigning for the Philippines' presidential election kicks off on Tuesday.

The main election issues are Duterte's heavy-handed fight against illegal drugs and the country's relations with China amid heightening tensions over a territorial dispute in the South China Sea.
