UNHCR: Some 100,000 Ukrainians have left their homes NHK

The UN refugee agency says an estimated 100,000 people in Ukraine have fled their homes after the Russian invasion.

The spokesperson of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees said on Thursday that several thousand of them seem to have crossed into Moldova, Romania and other neighboring countries.

The UNHCR is calling on Ukraine's surrounding countries to open their borders and accept displaced people.
