Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says about 6,000 Russian soldiers have been killed in the six days since Russia invaded Ukraine.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Zelenskyy referred to Russia's bombing of a TV tower in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. He said a missile had also hit the site of a memorial for Jews massacred by Nazi Germany during World War II. Zelenskyy said Russia was murdering the victims of the Holocaust.

This is the first time Russia has released the number of its military casualties since the invasion of Ukraine began last week.
The spokesperson also said that more than 2,870 Ukrainian soldiers had been killed, and some 1,500 military and other facilities have been destroyed.
