German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French President Emmanuel Macron have urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to implement an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine. The three leaders held a 75-minute three-way telephone conference on Saturday. The French presidential office said Putin did not show a willingness to end the war. Kremlin officials said Putin told the two leaders that online talks between representatives of Moscow and Kyiv have continued over the past few days. But the details have yet to be revealed. Officials of Russia and Ukraine held their third round of ceasefire negotiations last Monday, but failed to narrow their differences.
