Police say between 20,000 and 30,000 people gathered in central Berlin on Sunday.
Demonstrators marched and held up banners reading, "Stop War" or "Peace and Solidarity for Ukrainian people."
A woman protester said that it was unforgivable that even civilians were sacrificed. She said she wanted to show solidarity with Ukraine.
