The International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed on Monday that power was restored at Ukraine's Chernobyl nuclear plant after its electricity supply was disrupted for the second time by Russian forces. The external supply of electricity to the nuclear power plant in northern Ukraine was first stopped on March 9, before being confirmed as fixed on Sunday. However, it was reported as damaged again just one day later. IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi said in a statement on Monday that Ukraine had informed the agency that a power line was again damaged by Russian forces. He added that the agency was later informed that external power was once again restored. Grossi also said that the IAEA was aware of reports that Russian forces had carried out munition explosions at the site of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in southeastern Ukraine. He said the agency was currently seeking information about the situation from Ukraine.
