Japan will lift coronavirus quasi-emergency measures as scheduled for 18 prefectures. The restrictions are set to end on March 21. The quasi-state of emergency covers some of Japan's biggest prefectures, including Tokyo and Osaka. The government says it will lift the measures after considering the number of infections and the state of medical facilities. Experts will meet Thursday to discuss the government's plans. This will be the first time since January 8 that no parts of Japan are under a quasi-state of emergency.
