4 US Marines die in Osprey crash in Norway NHK

An Osprey transport aircraft belonging to the US Marine Corps has crashed during a NATO military drill in Norway. Four crew members on board died.

Local media report that the MV-22 Osprey went missing on Friday and was later found crashed.

Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store tweeted on Saturday that four US personnel died in a crash on Friday night.

The circumstances and cause of the accident are still unknown. But the weather was reportedly bad at the time.

The NATO exercise is scheduled to continue until April across Norway. About 30,000 people from 27 countries are taking part.
