Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said Russian forces' blockade of the eastern city of Mariupol "will go down in history of responsibility for war crimes."
Zelenskyy released a video message on Sunday about the city where Russian troops continue fierce attacks.
He said, "The terror the occupiers did to the peaceful city will be remembered for centuries to come."
He also said, "The more Ukrainians tell the world about it, the more support we find. The more Russia uses terror against Ukraine, the worse the consequences will be for it."
The president said the ceasefire negotiations with Russia are not easy and pleasant, but necessary because it's about life.
He added that Ukraine has always sought a peaceful solution and people in the country are interested in peace.
